| Communication |
How do all parties work together when it comes to handling an insurance claim? What role does PIE play in the insurance claims process. There may be several parties involved but typically it will be a claimant who is the insured, the insurance adjuster, and a contractor. Sometimes the insured's will contact their insurance agent on the front end of a loss, the agent then typically submits the claim to the insurance adjuster which ultimately starts the ball rolling on the claim. How do these parties work together in resolving the claim? In order to put a visual to this communication structure, the diagram below shows what we term very simply, "the claims triangle", so you have a visual explanation of how PIE's role fits into the average insurance claim.
